This test can confirm hepatitis C infection (HCV) and monitor its treatment. Hepatitis C virus (HCV) is a potentially life-threatening infection caused by contact with contaminated blood or blood products. If you have experienced symptoms of liver disease or have been exposed to HCV, this test can be used to provide a diagnosis or monitor your treatment.
